The WNT closed out the second leg of the "Achieve Your Gold Tour" on Saturday with a definitive win against the South Koreans to move to 2-0-1 on the three game series.
The third game, which Coach Sundhage called the "best one" of the lot, was ringing in more than just one sense. After the South Koreans rattled the crossbar in the first half, the WNT followed suit by clanging two consecutive headers of the same spot on the woodwork in a matter of seconds. For a while it seemed to the fans in Florida that the match might end like its predecessor,
without goals but not without thrills.
That is until Tash - the Hawaiian striker at home in the warm weather - streaked down to the end line with the ball and delivered a low cross to the far post - one of many throughout the night. Her teammate was right there to tap it in for the go ahead; another shutout, another win.
After a one-month break, the WNT will be back at it on December 13 against the Chinese.
